They can manage appointments through the dashboard if you enable login.

Pro

Adds recurring bookings (e.g. a series of physiotherapy or follow-up visits).

Adds recurring discounts (e.g. discount on a series of followups).

More advanced payment and scheduling options.

You can control which of these are visible and enabled from the Pro Features and Recurring Discounts settings.
